The Inspiration Behind Our Organization
Recognizing the need for an entity that can directly focus on the needs of Waterbury’s most vulnerable community, the Building Legacy And Community was formed. B.L.A.C. is composed of Waterbury, Connecticut residents with various backgrounds and talents that when utilized can be beneficial to the community. B.L.A.C. addresses the existing systems that disproportionately affect the black community within Waterbury to foster an ecosystem that is beneficial and fair for all people.

WSCC seeks to increase the display of cultural art and symbolism of the Black culture within the Central Business District of Waterbury.
